Chris Devins set out to bring awareness to his Chicago neighborhood’s rich culture and history by celebrating its prolific past residents. After building support from his Bronzeville neighbors Chris was empowered to work with community leaders that helped him install a series of murals throughout the neighborhood. At the direction of the Metropolitan Planning Council, with support from the Mayor’s Office and the Chicago Department of Transportation, we have provided citizens with the opportunity to share and build support for ideas focused on transportation issues plaguing the Museum Campus. With the support of the Hive Fund for Connected Learning at The Chicago Community Trust, we are proud to be working alongside ChicagoQuest to develop a curriculum focused on civic activism, neighborhood planning, design, and development.
